Apparently, some sort of bot has been trolling the web site and found the Guestbook. Unfortunately, I made it very easy for someone to post messages, so they took advantage and began posting vile advertisements. Thus, I've taken the Sign page offline until I can find a more secure solution.

Updated the site with a cleaner, faster loading interface. Added more crisp graphics and dropped the include-based format of the old site. Any problems, please report them to the webmaster!

After many hours of sleuthing, testing, re-coding, testing more, rinsing, and repeating, I finally found the reason why the database was becoming corrupted every so often. I've cleaned up all the dbase connections on every page that uses them (4 hours of work). All the pages should execute very fast now and return no errors. Fixed! Yay!

The Calendar has been updated. The old calendar engine, while filled with "coding coolness," was decidedly tedious to maintain. Perhaps the excitement of creativity got the best of me. At any rate, the new version is sleek and very easy for me to update, which is always good.

The database once again became corrupted. It has been repaired, but I am looking for a better solution. It seems it may have something to do with the server in which it is located. Note that browsing to the Newsletter section may return an error. Simply refresh if this occurs.

Removed email address field from the Guestbook to halt Spammers from harvesting the addresses. The addresses will remain on file, so those of you looking to contact someone listed, email us at color@colornet.org for their address.

Had to rebuild the database that houses all of the content for Colornet due to corruption of the structure. I do not know what caused this, but it has been resolved, so new content should be viewed as normal.

Installed FrontPage 2002 Extensions on site. Also: Today is the 1 year anniversary of the COLOR Online web site! We've certainly come a long way (I know I've learned a lot)...and I hope that the coming year will be just as fruitful!

Tweaked the calendar to display current month in selector. Also made it so the current day of the current month is highlighted.

Replaced slow and cumbersome HTML Calendar with ASP based version. The last big project I had planned for the site (until I get bored again). Check it out here!

Consolidated Newsletter section to use 1 display page instead of 3. Also made slight modifications to the database.

Added archive feature to Guestbook Entries page.

Updated Java navigation menu to version 8.21 from version 5.41. This update fixes tons of problems with other browsers and adds more features and special effects. I will be experimenting with these in the future.

Viewing problems with Mac Internet Explorer 5.x - Had to revamp left navigation tables to compensate. Also changed vertical graphics while I was there. Cleaned out extraneous graphics and HTML files hiding in various parts of the directory structure. Renamed currently active images so I can keep track. Netscape 4.x (Mac and PC) and Internet Explorer (Mac and PC) now display the website identically - which is what I originally intended (only took 9 months!!!).

Made slight change to Calendar section for better Netscape compatibility - Netscape 4.x would hang for about 30 seconds before displaying the page. This was due to the amount of tables.

Spent over 35 hours (!) creating a new ASP based Camp Pictures section. Now extremely easy to update, manage, and (hopefully) navigate. Check it out -- I hope it was worth it! Let me know if there is any "issues" here. Also removed counter from Homepage to speed up loading...and because it is not very accurate. Added "Random Picture of the Moment" in its place.

Updated Stylesheets. Created two separate files (for the standard site and the Camp areas) and added spiffy scrollbar color enhancements.

Overhauled Newsletter section. Added a dynamic ASP based Archive in preparation for further expansion.

Major update: Revised entire web site with new look (cleaner coding). Converted the Newsletter and Sermons sections completely to ASP. Changed some graphics to smaller sizes. Modified the Calendar sections to fit into normal pages.

After extensive testing and tweaking, I added a JAVA based Navigation menu to replace the previous HTML based menu. This should function on both Mac and Windows based computers and is compatible with most current browsers (Netscape, Internet Explorer). Made more small modifications to the site: Tweaked graphics (COLOR Logo again), changed top title bar to a page-include for easy updating.

While cleaning up the site and my hard drive, I came across the first incarnation of the COLOR Online web site. I thought some of you may find it interesting to see the evolution of the site to what it has become, so here it is. Don't laugh too hard.

Added more graphical flairs to News, Praise/Prayer, and Youth Camp sections.

Modified look of Online Sermons section to match other areas of the site.

Updated the Guestbook with an entry counter.

Changed the LOR, Youth Camp, Camp History, and Camp Pictures logos.

Converted Sermons section to ASP w/ dbase connectivity.

Converted the What's New section and Newsletter section to ASP for database connectivity so that future updating does not become tedious (increased scalability). This will eventually be applied to the entire site, but we need more content first:)

Huge Update -- Updated entire web site for complete compatibility with Netscape 4.x. Users of Netscape should now be able to view the Guestbook entries and Calendar correctly. Also, fonts and navigation bars should be displayed as they are in Internet Explorer. Note: in order for Netscape users to view the updates, they may need to clear the Internet cache. You're welcome:)

Updated Youth Camp section. Uploaded 614 images and web pages for the Picture section alone (nearly 30MB of files...much more to come!).

Also created the History section including complete information from 1951 - 2000 (thanks Melinda!).

The web site is expanding rapidly (the size has more than quadrupled), so keep checking back for new and cool stuff to see and do!

Added the Church Services section.

Added the Praise/Prayer request section.

Completely redesigned interface. Took several days to finish, but it was worth it:
- Much better compatibility with Netscape browsers (sorry, Netscape users - this is as far as I'll go).

- Many less tables. Better configurations.

- Restructured key sections for better scalability (such as Calendar and Newsletter).

- Reformatted CSS (again) for easier future modifications of the site. Made file much smaller.

Modified Calendar for better viewing. Also refined the calendar design structure for more browser compatibility.

Added new event section and linked it to the Home Page. Made grammatical changes to the Beliefs section. Tweaked interface and navigation links. Made slight modification to DSN connectivity and renamed database.

Added counter to the home page.

Online Newsletter is now available. Added Advocated Principles to the Beliefs section. Also added Online Sermons section.

Still working on Newsletter. Tweaked Guestbook because of ODBC errors. Modified Calendar. Added Links section per request and designed a link submission form.

Grand Opening! We are online and open for business! Finished design on ASP based Guestbook - works beautifully! Starting design on Newsletter section.

Silent Grand Opening! The board has decided on a name and it has been registered! We decided on colornet.org as the name, for those of you who are coming here via IP address.

Other news/Huge update -- Added the Guestbook, finally. It's a bit on the primitive side (from an administrative standpoint), but it will work until I find a more permanent solution. Also, the Online Calendar is fully operational and looks sweet. Check it out!

The email account has been created and works perfectly. Added it to the Contact Us page.

Long-time-no-update! Decided to remove Chat for now...may add it later once we get other areas functioning. Added Page Include for navbuttons to the left and navbar on the bottom to make for easier navigation changes in the future. Added Calendar section.

Modified interface once again. Decided on single page site -- no frames.

Changed color scheme of the Camp section (less radical). Changed logo to a more flashy version. Made more tweaks to the style sheet. Thinking about adding an archive link for the What's New section as updates may become fairly frequent. Also experimenting with frames.

Added Chat, Guestbook, Newsletter and linked all sections. Cleaned up extraneous pics and test files. Started design on Camp section. Trying something a little different on the Camp section -- check it out!
Tweaked interface again by removing unnecessary buttons. Updated style sheet for more effects.

Added the Statement of Beliefs and the COLOR Mission Statement. Tweaked the interface for a more clean feel and snappier load time. Added Camp and Contact Us sections.

First addition of the first alpha test site. Right now, we're looking at what we are going to do and what the purpose of this site should be. Some exciting things are roiling around in our heads such as a private chat room and guestbook. I guess we'll have to see what develops...
